Connecting to FreeAgent
FreeReconcile needs access to your FreeAgent account to read your bank transactions and apply matched explanations.
How to connect
- Go to Settings in your FreeReconcile dashboard
- Click Connect FreeAgent
- FreeAgent will ask you to log in and authorise FreeReconcile
- Once authorised, FreeReconcile can see your bank transactions
You need Full access or Tax, Accounting & Users level permissions in FreeAgent.
What FreeReconcile accesses
- Bank transactions: descriptions, amounts, dates, and explanation status
- Categories: your FreeAgent category list for correct categorisation
- Attachments: we upload matched PDFs as attachments to explained transactions
We don't access your contacts, invoices, estimates, or other FreeAgent data.
Revoking access
You can revoke FreeReconcile's access from either:
- FreeReconcile: Settings > FreeAgent connection > Disconnect
- FreeAgent: Settings > Connections & Add-ons > Approved applications > Revoke Access for FreeReconcile
