Your @freereconcile.com address

Every FreeReconcile account gets a unique forwarding address, like yourname@in.freereconcile.com. You can find it in Settings > Email forwarding.

How it works

  • You receive a receipt in your personal or work email
  • Forward it to your @freereconcile.com address
  • FreeReconcile extracts the PDF and matches it to a FreeAgent transaction
  • The match appears in your review dashboard

This is useful if you don't want to connect your entire inbox, or if you get receipts from multiple email accounts.

Attachment size limit

Forwarded emails pass through Gmail before reaching FreeReconcile. Gmail imposes a 25 MB total message size limit on emails it sends or forwards. With MIME base64 encoding overhead, this means the practical limit for PDF attachments is around 20 MB per forwarded email.

If the attachment is larger than this, Gmail will either strip it or replace it with a Google Drive link, and FreeReconcile won't be able to process the receipt. In that case, try compressing the PDF before attaching it.

Tips

  • Forward the original email, don't just attach the PDF separately
  • Most email clients preserve PDF attachments when forwarding
  • You can forward multiple receipts at once
  • Forwarded receipts are processed within a few minutes
  • Keep attachments under 20 MB — Gmail's 25 MB message cap is the limiting factor in the forwarding chain
