Connecting your email

FreeReconcile needs access to your email to find PDF receipts and invoices. We support Gmail and Outlook.

How to connect

• Go to Settings in your FreeReconcile dashboard
• Click Connect email
• Sign in with your email provider
• Grant FreeReconcile read-only access to your inbox

We use OAuth, so we never see or store your email password. We scan for receipts, invoices, and relevant email content to find the best matches.

What FreeReconcile reads

• Email metadata: sender, subject, date
• Email content: receipt details, invoice links, and payment confirmations
• PDF attachments: invoices, receipts, statements

All email content is encrypted at rest. We don't modify your inbox in any way. We don't send emails on your behalf.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect your email at any time from Settings > Email connections. When you disconnect, FreeReconcile immediately loses access to your inbox.
